Fort Jones Volunteers completed its first annual Arduous Pack Test this weekend. The Arduous Pack Test is a requirement to participate in Wildland Firefighting through out California. This is the first year we have made it a requirement. We are also requiring all members participating in Widland Fire Assignments to meet the requirements of the California Incident Command Certification System for the position they are assigned. Making us one of the only local government fire departments is Siskiyou County meeting the requirements of the State. Fort Jones Fire Department strives to ensure the safety of its firefighters and with that being said made it a priority to meet these requirements.
