FORT JONES FIRE NEWS RELEASE
FORT JONES CITY HAS LIFTED BURN BAN

Residential burning is permitted, effective 8:00 a.m. Monday, October 25, 2021 on permitted burn days.

While cooler temperatures and recent precipitation have helped to diminish the threat of wildfire, you must still use caution when burning. Residents must use caution while conducting debris burns, follow all guidelines, and always maintain control of their fire.

All burning within the city limits requires a burn permit and adherence to permit guidelines. Permits can be obtained at the Fort Jones Fire Department or by visiting https://burnpermit.fire.ca.gov/

For residents outside the city limits please contact your local fire protection agency for more information.
