On 4-20-2019 at about 0145 hours Fort Jones Fire Department was called to a report of a Vehicle in Kidder Creek in the area of Devil's Hole with a male adult possibly trapped in the vehicle or missing in the creek and two other victims accounted for.
First arriving was a Fort Jones Fire Department Chief Officer who reported a vehicle in the creek with two occupants which included a child and we're located on the other side of the creek with minor to no injuries and one person missing. The Chief Officer established command and deemed the incident to be a dynamic water rescue incident.
Second arriving was Fort Jones Fire Medium Duty Rescue truck. Personnel from Fort Jones Fire donned dry suits and other water rescue gear and entered the waters crossing to the other side and confirmed one patient minor injuries (hypotherimic). Fort Jones Fire set up ropes and other shore based rescue system and was able to get the two across the water safely.
One victim was transported precautionary to Fairchild Medical Center by Etna Ambulance. A short based search of the creek was conducted of about 1 mile of the creek with negative results during night hours.
The incident was released to Siskiyou County Sheriff where they will continue a search during day light.
