Burn Ban Lifted
FIREFIGHTER/EMT SAMANTHA HESS, October 29
As of Monday, October 7th at 6:00 am, the burn permit suspension in Siskiyou County has been lifted.
Burn permits ARE required for any outdoor burning. Burn permits valid for addresses within Fort Jones city limits can be acquired at the Fort Jones Fire Department. For burn permits valid outside city limits, go to https://burnpermit.fire.ca.gov/ or visit a local Cal Fire station.

Kidder Water Rescue Incident
ASST CHIEF CHRISTOPHER BLOCKMAN, April 20
On 4-20-2019 at about 0145 hours Fort Jones Fire Department was called to a report of a Vehicle in Kidder Creek in the area of Devil's Hole with a male adult possibly trapped in the vehicle or missing in the creek and two other victims accounted for.

Delivery of New/Used Rescue 1340

As our mission and response area steadily changes so does our apparatus. For years we responded all over the Scott Valley Area with a light duty rescue truck with no water. With the increase in call volume we have chosen to upgrade to a Medium Duty Rescue that caries 300 Gallons of water and has a 500 Gallon Per Minute pump.
